ABOUT THE BKIA MATH COMPETITION

The BKIA  Annual Math Competition is designed to challenge and inspire Grade 11 and Grade 12 students to demonstrate their mathematical knowledge, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills in a competitive but supportive environment.

Hosted by Black Kids in Action (BKIA), this annual competition promotes academic excellence, confidence, and critical thinking while encouraging students to pursue opportunities in STEM fields. Participants will compete in a series of math challenges with the opportunity to win prizes and recognition.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To ensure fairness and maintain the integrity of the competition, participants must meet the following criteria:

• Must currently be enrolled in Grade 11 or Grade 12
• Must be a student attending an urban high school
• Must provide accurate school information and identification if requested
• Must complete the registration form truthfully

Students who do not meet these requirements will not be eligible to participate.

INTEGRITY & FAIR PARTICIPATION POLICY

BKIA is committed to maintaining the highest standards of fairness and integrity in all of its programs.

Providing false or misleading information, including misrepresenting grade level or school enrollment, will result in:

• Immediate disqualification from the competition
• Forfeiture of prizes, rankings, or awards
• Suspension or ban from future BKIA programs and competitions

Eligibility verification may be conducted before or after the event.

PARENT / GUARDIAN AWARENESS

Participants are expected to:

• Demonstrate honesty and integrity
• Respect competition rules and organizers
• Compete independently without external assistance
• Follow all instructions provided during the event

Failure to comply with competition guidelines may result in disqualification.

VERIFICATION PROCESS

To protect the integrity of the competition, BKIA may request the following documents:

• Student ID or School Identification
• Proof of current grade level
• School confirmation if necessary

Registration approval may be subject to verification.

The BKIA Math Competition exists to empower students, celebrate academic talent, and create opportunities for young minds to grow and excel.

Important Eligibility Rule:

You must be officially enrolled in Grade 11 or Grade 12 at the time of registration.Taking Grade 11 or Grade 12 math while being in a lower grade does not qualify you to participate.
